Bird- Watching at the Iguassu National Park is a highly practiced activity carried out by ornithologists from all over the world.

It is possible to make guided
walks through trails in the jungle, where specialists show the beautiful
birds which live in Misiones.
There are several options:
Birding:
Through many areas of the Iguazú National Park.
Transfers in open vehicles accompanied by guides provided with the appropriate
equipment and specialized in ornithological services.
This is a private service, which has to be booked with anticipation.
Photographic Safari:
It is a tour of about 20 km. along Yacaratiá path, located in the
reserved area of Iguazú National Park.
The path is closed to public traffic, only authorized
vehicles are allowed, inside this section of the Park scientific tasks like
"Project Carnivores" and studies of primates are carried out.
The journey lasts approximately two hours, and is
performed in vehicles specially prepared to allow comfortable filming and
photography of the extraordinary environment; the tree tops host unusual
life forms: epiphytes like orchids, cactaceous and bromeliaceous plants,
trees called "stranglers" and a great variety of birds and mammals
with exclusively arboreal habits like squirrels and monkeys.
During the tour there are stops and walks in which an
expert interpreter guide offers in-depth explanations.
Regular daily departures except Monday, 10:30 and 14:00
hs., from the Information Center (minimum two passengers). Special
departures are possible with previous reservation.
Remarks:
This tour includes mineral water or "mate" infusion (according to
season), insect repeller, sun caps, raincoats, binoculars, guide of birds,
etc.

This last item is really
important, since the tree tops in the jungle lodge interesting ways of life:
epiphytes such as orchids, cactuses, bromelias, “strangling” trees and a
great variety of birds and mammals with exclusively
arboreal habits as squirrels and monkeys.
During this trip, several
stops and walks can be made, in which an expert interpreter guide acts as a link
between the visitor and the environment.
There are also visits to
historic places of the Iguazú National Park.
